Canada Snowboard Official Statement Regarding The Legalization Of Cannabis

On October 17th, 2018 Cannabis will officially become legal across all Canadian provinces and territories. Regardless of Cannabis' legal status in Canada, it is still listed as 'Prohibited In Competition' on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)’s Prohibited List. 

Statement from Dustin Heise, Executive Director, Canada Snowboard:

"Canada Snowboard supports and will abide by Sport Canada and the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport’s recommendations and restrictions regarding the use of Cannabis. Canada Snowboard and its riders are committed to maintaining a safe and clean sport environment for all athletes."
