Born in Parry Sound, Ontario Jadyn Chomlack touched snow for the first time at eight weeks old, but it wasn’t until his family moved to Whistler, BC at the age of two that he developed his taste for mountain life. Living in this mountain resort allowed Jadyn to pursue snowboarding at a young age. Jadyn attended Camp of Champions where, at the age of 9, he was approached to ride with the Whistler Valley Snowboard Club. He began riding with the club in 2010, progressing quickly surrounded by Whistler’s committed snowboard community and coaches. By age eleven, Jadyn took home gold duct tape for his first place finish at the Legendary Banked Slalom at Mount Baker, WA. Meanwhile he was consistently placing first in Whistler-Blackcomb’s under 13 Slopestyle competitions.
Jadyn’s 2016-2017 season saw him compete and win first overall at the BC Provincials. He followed up with a strong 2017-2018 season where he qualified for finals in all of the Air Nation National Cups. Jadyn placed 2nd in Junior Nationals in 2017, and top 10 overall in the finals in 2018. Since 2016, Jadyn has consistently been one of the top 20 snowboarders in all of Canada, competing from coast to coast in North America and as far away as Australia. Jadyn has attended "the Launch" over the last 3 years and at the age 15 he was a Quicksilver Young Gun snow finalist.
Travelling with friends to compete, Jadyn is always the first to congratulate competitors and the last to leave the hill at practice. His drive and intense love for the sport and the people in it have helped him reach new heights while his respect for the mountains and his ability to hold friends and family close while navigating the world at such a young age have kept him grounded.
