Coaches Week 2019: Introducing Hannes Mutschlechner - Snowboard Alpine Team Coach

"Hannes Mutschlechner is a new coach to our team as the new World Cup Alpine Coach. He was previously working with the Italian Alpine National Team and brings a depth of experience and perspective to our Alpine program. Hannes was a great compliment to our existing coaching staff for and were excited for the first season with him."

We caught up with Hannes for a few questions regarding his new role with Canada Snowboard

Name: Hannes Mutschlechner

Position: Alpine World Cup Coach

Years Coaching with Canada Snowboard: First year!

Career Highlights: 2018 JWC 2nd man psl, overall winner in man EC and third in overall  woman EC, 2019 silver medal at WCS PSL man,   five different riders on a World Cup Podium 

Memorable Coaching Moments: Rogla pgs World Cup 2019 with Coratti`s win and Bagozza second

What are you looking forward to most this season: Closing the gap to the Top. Getting ready now!

Favourite Resort / Run: As resorts Carezza and Cortina are absolutely my favourites. I love to stay in between the Dolomites. Talking about Runs: the Olympic slope in Secret Garden China is the one I LIKE most.
