Canadian Halfpipe athletes with a strong showing at The 2019 Burton US Open

This past weekend saw, Derek Livingston (Aurora, ON) have another amazing result. Livingston followed up his first World Cup podium from a  with a US Open score of 78.12 to take 7th place.

First time US Open athletes Shawn Fair placed 20th and Jack Collins placed 27th rounding out the mens side.

On the womens side Brooke D'Hondt placed 13th and Elizabeth Hosking (Longeuil, QC) placed 15th.

Brooke D'Hondt also went on to win the Junior Jam at the Burton US Open, Brooke surprised the judges at her inaugural open with a strong run including a frontside 720 Melon, that not only put her on top of the podium but awarded her the honours of best trick of the day! 

Overall a great showing for some established and up and coming Canadian athletes!
