Tyler Turner races to Para-snowboard Banked Slalom Bronze in Beijing

March 11, 2022

Tyler Turner completed a remarkable Paralympic Winter Games debut on Friday with a bronze medal in the men’s SB-LL1 banked slalom at Beijing 2022.

Turner, the 33-year-old from Campbell River, B.C., was sixth after the first run but came roaring back on the second improving to 1:12.84. It was the second medal of the Games for Turner, who took the gold in the snowboard cross earlier this week.

It was a historical Paralympics for our Para Snowboard team with our first ever medals with a Gold and a Silver - see SBX recap - in Snowboard Cross and an additional Bronze in Banked Slalom.
