SBX World Cup returns to Germany

January 20, 2016

More than ten years since the last stop of the snowboard cross World Cup tour took place in Germany, the world-wide contest series is finally coming back to the most populous member state in the European Union. From January 22nd – 24th, 2016, this season's second and third individual race will take place at Feldberg.

Different than originally planned, the course length for the double event had to be cut down due to the unseasonal snow conditions. Nevertheless, with last Monday's positive snow control given both races will mark the first ever so-called sprint sbx event, an event that the FIS has planned to include in next year's World Cup circuit.

With a strong blend of experience and youth, here are the athletes set to represent Canada in Germany:

Womens
Tess Critchlow
Zoe Bergermann
Carle Brenneman
Katie Anderson

Mens
Chris Robanske
Kevin Hill
Baptiste Brochu
Tyler Jackson
Liam Moffat
