Canada Snowboard announces change to Canadian Snowboard Team Leadership

Vancouver BC, (March 20, 2023) – Canada Snowboard announced today that Jean-François (JF) Rapatel, the Sport & High-Performance Director for Canada Snowboard will be leaving the organization to pursue a new opportunity. JF joined Canada Snowboard in January 2016 and was a significant contributor to the Canadian Snowboard Teams’ successes during what has been 8 seasons of growth, challenge, and great success.

JF worked day-in-and-day-out to support our coaches, support team and athletes to be in the best possible position to win on any given day and we are grateful for his leadership.

Canada Snowboard is uniquely positioned with excellent depth in our high performance leadership; and current High Performance Management staff will report directly to CEO Dustin Heise for the remainder of the 2022-23 season. As we continue to scale and update the structure of the organization in all of our departments we will be pleased to share with our partners, athletes, and our community the updated plans as they are established throughout the coming months.
