#ForTheLove

December 1, 2025

Every Olympic and Paralympic season feels big, but this year, we wanted to do more than count medals and milestones. We wanted to go back to the beginning.

Because before the podiums, before the pressure, before the bright lights and big moments, there was a love of snowboarding at its most basic core. A love that every discipline shares: standing sideways, the people beside you, the community that shows up, and the pure joy of riding.

Today, we’re officially kicking off #ForTheLove, a four-week storytelling series celebrating the Canadian snowboarders who are pre-qualified and on the road toward Milano Cortina 2026. And this is just the start. As the season unfolds and the full nomination picture becomes clearer, we’ll continue building on these stories and sharing more from the athletes who make this team what it is.

This isn’t a full team announcement and not the final nominations. It’s simply a moment to spotlight the riders who have earned their place in this next chapter and the people who helped them get here.

Over the coming weeks, you’ll see personal stories, childhood memories, family voices, community roots, and the moments that shaped these athletes long before they ever stepped onto the world stage. Every athlete brings something different, but the heartbeat is the same. Snowboarding is where it all started.

And it all begins today, December 2nd, with Liam Brearley and the first chapter of #ForTheLove

Meet Canada’s Pre-Qualified Snowboarders

These riders have put down world-class performances and earned their place on the road toward Milano Cortina 2026. You’ve seen their results all season—but now it’s time to focus on the people behind them, and the love of snowboarding that shaped who they are today.

From Gravenhurst, Ontario, Liam Brearley’s journey is built on family, community, and a fearless love for snowboarding that drives every run. He learned early that passion, dedication, and heart are what push you to the top.

Canada’s first men’s Slopestyle Crystal Globe winner in 2024 and Canada’s first men’s Slopestyle World Champion in 2025, Liam’s wholehearted approach shows in everything he does.
