What is Sun Peaks training camp?

The Riders Advancement and Development (RAD) Program, an initiative by Canada Snowboard, being delivered by BC Snowboard seeks to create more development opportunities for athletes and coaches at all stages. This camp at Sun Peaks Resort provides teams with a chance to train on the snowboard cross course. Teams will have the opportunity to train together and manage their own day-to-day training, adjusting their schedules to meet individual goals. This camp is designed for teams and coaches who are comfortable managing their own training sessions within Snowboard Cross. Coaches may be asked to assist with venue maintenance, including course setting, raking, and dyeing, as needed.

This is a team-focused training event - athletes must attend with their coaches. If you are an athlete whose team is not participating or a developing coach looking for mentorship opportunities, please contact Cathy Astofooroff to explore the possibility of joining another team.
