Getting Rest Right on the Road with Ozlo

Travel, training, competitions, and maybe a few hotel rooms with questionable pillows. For Canada Snowboard’s National Team, sleep isn’t just about rest. It’s a performance advantage. That’s why Canada Snowboard is partnering with Ozlo, the company behind the award-winning Sleepbuds, to help athletes and staff protect consistent sleep no matter where the season takes them.

With athletes and staff spending months on the road each year, moving between training blocks and competitions across time zones, sleep can be one of the hardest things to lock in. Late-night arrivals, shared accommodations, and unfamiliar hotel rooms all add up. This partnership is about giving the team tools to recover properly and stay sharp, even when everything else keeps changing.

As part of the partnership, Ozlo will provide Sleepbuds to Canadian National Snowboard Team athletes and key staff throughout the 2026–2027 season. Designed to block unwanted noise and support improved rest, the Sleepbuds also offer sleep insights that help athletes better understand their recovery patterns over time.

“Sleep is one of the biggest performance levers we have, and it gets harder to protect when you’re living out of a suitcase,” said Chris Robanske, two-time Olympian and Canada Snowboard alumni. “Athletes spend a huge part of the year on the road, moving between competition venues, changing time zones, and trying to recover quickly. Having a tool that can help block out noise and understand sleep patterns gives them a way to build consistency, even when everything around them is changing. Better sleep supports better recovery, sharper focus, and more stable performance when it matters most.”

Throughout the season, Canada Snowboard and Ozlo will collaborate on storytelling that highlights the role of sleep and recovery in high-performance sport, and how consistent sleep habits support long-term health and sustained performance while on tour.
