Ideally situated one hour north of Toronto, Simcoe County is considered by many to be Ontario’s four-season outdoor playground.

Visitors enjoy breathtaking views, a vibrant arts and cultural community, walking trails, parks, marinas, shopping and dining, and a variety of entertainment ranging from world class shows at the Casino, snowmobiling, skydiving, and horse racing to lounging on the beach, boating, and skiing.

Simcoe County offers extensive waterfront access, including Lake Simcoe, Georgian Bay, the Trent-Severn in-land Waterway, and the longest freshwater beach in the world—Wasaga Beach, as well as more than 50 golf courses and 60 marinas, three ski resorts, several cross-country skiing and mountain biking facilities, countless scenic trails, seven provincial parks and one national park, and far too many top 100 events and festivals to mention.

Combine all of this with a strong cultural sector that features a variety of activities and assets and a growing agri-culinary sector, it should come as no surprise that Simcoe County has been identified as one of the best and most unique tourism destinations in the province.
