Big White 2019 World Para Snowboard World Cup

February 3 - 8, 2019 | Kelowna, BC

Big White Ski Resort

Tucked on the west side of Canada's Rocky Mountains in the heart of the British Columbia's Okanagan Valley lies Big White Ski Resort. Known worldwide for its local climate that provides the much sought after dry light champagne powder, Big White offers the choice of 118 designated runs across 2,765 acres of spectacular terrain. With a daily action packed program filled with family friendly activities, and the largest ski-in, ski-out accommodation in Canada, it's no wonder that Big White has proudly collected international accolades for being one of the world's top family friendly ski destinations. Big White is proud to be the host resort of the Big White 2019 World Para Snowboard World Cup Finals, and help develop Para Snowboarding in Canada.

Once the training base for the Canadian Para snowboard team, Big White has already hosted four Para Snowboard world cup events and has been deeply involved in developing the sport within Canada.

Flynn Seddon, Director of Terrain Park & Outdoor events, commented on the quality of the facilities, something that his staff has had the chance to refine over the past few years :

“When we first had an opportunity to host a Para World Cup we put a lot of attention into what the riders on the circuit needed to help develop the sport. We're very proud of the working relationship we have with all the coaches and athletes on the tour and we really try to use our venue and that relationship to develop the sport.”
