Born in Calgary, AB, Shawn never had to adventure too far to find the nearest ski hill with Canada Olympic Park being so close to home. From the moment he witnessed a video of a snowboarder on TV  he wanted to give snowboarding a try and set out to purchase his first board at the age of 10 - with his own money. When Shawn is not snowboarding he enjoys living it up in the outdoors be it wakeboarding, skateboarding and biking. His 2016/2017 highlights include a 1st place finish at the 2017 Sport Chek Air Nation Junior Nationals, 9th at Junior World Championships in Laax, Switzerland and a 3rd at the Sport Chek Air Nation tour stop in Calgary, AB. Keep your eyes out for Shawn as he looks to improve his rankings with a top 20 on the World Cup circuit and land on the podium again at the 2018 Sport Chek Air Nation Nationals.
