Registration

2020 SPEED NATION NATIONALS QUALIFICATION PROCESS- Canadian Athletes

In order to be eligible to compete at the 2020 SPEED NATION National Championships, participants must:

Be members of their Provincial or Territorial Snowboard Associations (PTSA’s)

Have an Advanced Competitor License

Have a valid FIS Licence (U15 and U13 not required)

PTSA’s - Roles and Responsibilities:

PTSA’s are responsible for their own qualification process

Ensuring athletes are at Stage 4 and up in their Athlete Development Pathway

PTSA’s shall confirm, before March 12, 2020, which athletes qualify for Nationals

Registration Deadline

Online registration will close at noon on March 16, 2020.
There will be NO on-site registration for this event.
 

International Athletes Notice

In order to confirm your registration, the Event Organizers need to receive a written confirmation from your National Snowboard Association confirming that you are in good standing, prior to your arrival at the event.  The confirmation letter can be submitted by email to: opfabj@gryhf.arg 
 
A valid FIS License is required to register.
 

Eligibility

Competitors must meet the following age limit in order to compete:
NORAM                                15 years old by December 31, 2019
FIS NJC                                 15 years to 19 years old by December 31, 2019
U15                                        13 and 14 years old by December 31, 2019 AND
                                              11 and 12 years old by December 31, 2019 with coach consent
 
Sr and Jr National Championship competitors MUST hold a current FIS License.
 
Competitors must also hold a valid FIS License (just those competing at FIS sanctioned events).  Canadian athletes can purchase FIS license, SAIP insurance and Provincial or Territorial Snowboard Association Membership before registering through your Provincial or Territorial Association.

Canadian Coaches Registration

All Canadian coaches at events must register and meet the Canadian Minimum Coach Certification Standards.

Refund Policy 

Event Registration Fee refunds require the approval BC Snowboard Association Executive Director.
Request for refund must be submitted by email to: opfabj@gryhf.arg

The following are viable reasons for permitting Event Registration Fee refunds:
  • Event cancelation or date/location changes
  • Injury sustained prior to event training, preventing participation in event – must be confirmed with doctor’s note.
Exceptions: hardship special circumstances require the prior approval of BC Snowboard Associations Executive Director
Refunds for cash or cheque transactions must be refunded by cheque.
Credit card refunds must be processed via card transaction credit.
 
Lift Tickets are not refundable.        
 

Lift Ticket

Athlete Lift Tickets for training and competition days will be offered at 50% discount.
Vouchers will be provided at Sign In, to be presented at Guest Services.
 
Coach Lift Tickets will be complimentary based on the ratio of 5 athletes to 1 coach pass for training and competitions days of their registered athletes.
Coaches not qualifying for complimentary pass will receive 50% discount voucher.
