Max Parrot Takes the Top Spot at Big Air Kreischberg AUT

January 8, 2021

A big day for the Bromont, Quebec native as Max Parrot takes the top spot at the first freestyle Olympic qualifier in the Big Air event in Kreischberg, AUT. Kreischberg hasn’t seen elite-level big air action since the resort served as venue for the FIS Snowboard, Freestyle & Freeski World Championships back in 2015, however today was a resurgence in talent as athletes set their sights on the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

A triumphant story, Max Parrot (CAN), earning the gold medal after recovering from a heavy crash on his second run and landing bolts with a cab 1620 on his final run. Sven Thorgren (SWE) landed Silver, and Mons Roisland (NOR) with Bronze.

Fellow Canadian Rider Liam Brearley (Gravenhurst, ON) with an impressive performance etching into the top 10, with 7th place.
