National Team

Alexandra Duckworth started to snowboard when she was ten years old during a family ski trip in Sunday River, Nova Scotia. With a why-not-attitude, she strapped on the board and never looked back. Inspired by her sister Anna, a competitive varsity basketball player, and her mother, a former competitive field hockey player, Duckworth is no stranger to international competition with a FIS World Cup podium, a FIS World Junior Championship silver medal and two National Championship’s medals, including the 2010 title in Slopestyle. When not competing in the southern hemisphere, Duckworth is keen to spend most of her summers where she grew up: sailing in the Nova Scotia waters.
