John Leslie

John Leslie heads to Sochi for his first Paralympic Games in a strong position, having recently won his first career IPC World Cup medal, a bronze, on Jan. 18, 2014 at Copper Mountain, Colorado. John followed up that exhilarating milestone by winning a second IPC World Cup bronze medal the very next day, also at Copper Mountain.

John is currently living in Ottawa in his first year of college studying business. John trains with the Ottawa Akademy Club and Arnprior District High School teams, training at Mount Pakenham.

Off the snow, John can be found with friends on a bike, a skateboard, on water, or working his way back to the mountains.

John has a below the knee amputation, a result of a cancer diagnosed when he was 10.
