John Leslie

John Leslie had a very successful 7th place finish at his first Paralympic Games in Sochi this season.  This past winter he also took home his first career IPC World Cup medal, a bronze, on Jan. 18, 2014 at Copper Mountain, Colorado. John followed up that exhilarating milestone by winning a second IPC World Cup bronze medal the very next day, also at Copper Mountain and a third bronze at the Big White, BC IPC World Cup the following weekend.  John finished off the 2013-14 season ranked 5th in the World!

John lives in Ontario in the summer months and works at his local Home Hardware when he is not training.  During the winter season, John makes his home in Whistler, BC between travelling to World Cup events.

Off the snow, John can be found with friends on a bike, a skateboard, on water, or working his way back to the mountains.

John has a below the knee amputation, a result of a cancer diagnosed when he was 10.
