Rider Bio

Andrew Hildebrand started skiing at Alpine Ski Club at the young age of 2, not long after he took his first steps. After 3 years on skis he switched to snowboarding and fell in love. This was no surprise as the love for snowboarding runs deep in the Hildebrand family. Andrew’s older sister, Danielle has competed in SBX and his younger brother Eric currently competes alongside him.

To date, Andrew’s best performances were at the 2017 Universiade in Kazakhstan with an 8th qualifying time, as well as a silver and a bronze at NorAM races in 2018. While competing in snowboarding, Andrew has been working hard at completing his degree from the University of Western Ontario in a Business Management Organizational Studies honours program, specializing in finance. Now that Andrew has graduated, he will be able to fully focus on pursuing his true passion, which is and always has been snowboarding.

Andrew has been spending most of his time at the gym, taking his strength and conditioning very seriously. Andrew has goals to continue being on the podium at NorAm races, to qualify for World Cups in the 2018/ 2019 season, and to one day represent Canada in the Winter Olympics.
