2019/2020 National Speed Team Selections

Vancouver, BC - Canada Snowboard, in accordance with its 2019/20 Snowboardcross, Para Snowboard and Alpine selection protocols, is pleased to announce the 2019/20 Canadian National Speed Snowboard Teams. Consisting of Snowboardcross, Alpine and Para-Snowboard, 15 women and 21 men will represent Canada across the National and NextGen teams.
 
Canada has continued to demonstrate its foothold as a strong Speed nation, this year’s team selections include…

Sandrine Hamel continuing her tenure with the Para Snowboard National Team with her triple medal performance at the 2019 World Para Snowboard World Championships and multiple World Cup podiums. 

Eliot Grondin progressing from NextGen onto the Snowboardcross National Team with strong World Cup performances and back-to-back Junior World Championship podiums.

On the Alpine side, Darren Gardner continues with the Alpine National Team – posting consistent and strong results throughout last season.

Any person wishing to appeal a selection decision must do so in accordance with the Canada Snowboard Appeals Policy, which is available on the Canada Snowboard website at: https://www.canadasnowboard.ca/files/AppealsProtocol.pdf. 

The deadline for appeals of the selections listed in this announcement is June 10th, 2019 - 5:00 pm PST.
