THE EVENT
Stoneham Ski Resort will host two Snowboardcross (SBX) NorAm competitions, February 28 & 29. This is the Second SBX event on the Canada~Snowboard Tour.
 
THE RESORT
Located only 20 minutes from Québec City, Stoneham Mountain Resort is a perfect destination for outdoors enthusiasts. Nestled in a horseshoe shaped valley, which protects the resort from the wind, Stoneham features year-round activities, but it is known across North America for its exhilarating skiing. www.ski-stoneham.com

Monday, February 27
8:30 am – 4pm Sign in, Harfang conference room
1pm - 3pm Snowboardcross Training (Must sign in prior to training)
5pm Team Captains Meeting, Harfang conference room
 
Tuesday, February 28
9am – 3pm Snowboardcross #1 competition (Qualifications & Finals)
4pm Awards, Finish Area
5pm Team Captains Meeting, Harfang conference room
 
Wednesday, January 29
9am – 3pm Snowboardcross #2 competition (qualifications & Finals)
4pm Awards, Finish Area

REGISTRATION
Register for the Canada~Snowboard Tour competitions on-line at www.QuebecSnowboard.ca
 
Note: A valid FIS License is required to register. Canadian athletes can purchase Provincial membership, SAIP insurance and FIS under Member Services at www.canadasnowboard.ca

To access the on-line registration form, go to: www.quebecsnowboard.ca Event Notices and Registration, Pre-registration Link for event, and follow the directions from there. On-Line Registration for this event closes on Saturday February 25th at 11:59pm EST. Riders are strongly encouraged to register on-line as they can benefit from the online and pre-registration rates; and it saves time and secures a competition spot for you.
 
On-Site registration at the Event Office is based on availability and will close one hour before the first scheduled Team Captains Meeting.

International Athletes:
In order to confirm your registration, the Event Organizers need to receive written confirmation from your National Snowboard Association that you are in good standing, prior to your arrival at the event. The confirmation letter can be submitted by e-mail to:

ELIGIBILITY
Competitors must meet the following age limit in order to compete:
Snowboardcross 15 years+ (born before December 31, 1996)
 
Competitors must also hold a valid FIS License. Canadian athletes can purchase FIS license, SAIP insurance and Provincial Membership before registering through your Provincial Association. For a complete list of Provincial Associations, click here
 
PARA SBX COMPETITIONS
Their will be Two para SBX (full medals) competitions on February 28th and 29th. For questions and registrations for this category please contact Candice Drouin at
 
ENTRY FEES
Entry Fees are:
$75.00 per competition (pre-registration) until Saturday February 25th 11:59 EST
$90.00 per competition (on site) registration closes 1 hour before Team Captains Meeting starts.
 
LIFT TICKETS*
Discounted lift tickets are available for competitors and will be available at the event office
Training Day & Competition Day Price Athletes: 33$
Training Day coaches: 33$ Competition Day Price coaches: 0$
 
*Athletes and coaches that volunteers in the morning of February 27th (before training begins) or any other day will be given a free lift passes.
*Note: Entry fee and lift ticket prices have been kept separate to accommodate athletes who have Provincial and Stoneham passes season passes, Canada passes or other discounted pass arrangements.
 
PRIZE MONEY
$4,000 prize purse
 
SANCTION
The competitions are sanctioned by the FIS, Canada~Snowboard and BC Snowboard.
 
RULES & REGULATIONS
Certified helmets are mandatory for all training and competitions. Competitions are run in accordance with the FIS rules. Detailed rules are available at: www.fisski.com

FAST AND FEMALE: (Female Performance Camp)
Following the Stoneham World Cup, February 26th & 27th. This camp is targeted at stage 4 athletes between the ages of 12 and 18. The camp will focus on ALL disciplines over the two day period and has been designed with the following goals in mind; Creating social interaction between the female athletes in the country as it’s been shown this is a major factor in keeping females in competitive sport, Identify future female performers in all disciplines at an early age, Multi discipline skill improvement, Encouraging the younger female riders to continue as a competitive snowboarder
