Accommodation
Accommodation during the games will be very scarce and quite expensive. Canada Snowboard is currently working with Mulgrave School to develop a home stay program to allow the families and friends of athletes to be hosted with families located on the North Shore. In addition, Canada Snowboard will have a limited number of hotel rooms available.
How will the Canada Snowboard/Mulgrave School Home Stay Program work?
- The home stay program will be made available to all applicants who are accepted to the Family and Friends Program.
- When applying for the Family and Friends program applicants will be asked to indicate if they would be interested in seeking accommodations with a local family as part of the Canada Snowboard/Mulgrave School home stay program.
- Accepted applicants will be paired with a local family based on the answers given on the application
- Program applicants will be responsible for contacting the family and making arrangements for their stay.

Will Canada Snowboard have hotel rooms available for rent?
- Yes. More information will be posted in the near future.
Are there accommodations opportunities outside of Canada Snowboard’s program in the Vancouver area during the games?
- Finding accommodations during the games will be challenging but not impossible.
- If you are planning on the games you are encouraged to book early. Vancouver Tourism has prepared an accommodations information page and has links available for making arrangements.
