SAIP Insurance & FIS Licence
To purchase SAIP Insurance and/or a FIS Licence, you must create or sign into your membership profile.
Please note that SAIP insurance and FIS Licenses expire June 30th of each year regardless of purchase date
FIS
A FIS Licence is required to participate in any FIS event, you must also have SAIP coverage to participate in these events. The price of a FIS Licence is $35.00.
SAIP Overview
SAIP Insurance stands for Sports Accident Insurance Policy. It is additional medical coverage for snowboarding in case of an accident or injury. In order to be covered, you must be participating in a Canada~Snowboard sanction training or competition activity, wearing a certified helmet, and under the supervision of a licensed coach.
Level 1 – ($ 410.00) Is available to National Team Members or by Special Request. Additional coverage includes up to 60 consecutive days out of country. Coverage only valid when training or competing under the supervision of a Canada Snowboard Coach and in a Sanctioned Activity.
Level 2A – ($ 55.00) Available to all members, minimum requirement for FIS. No Out of country coverage is included. Coverage only valid when training or competing under the supervision of a Canada Snowboard Coach and in a Sanctioned Activity.
Level 2B – ($ 80.00) Available to all members, similar coverage to 2A and includes up to 25 consecutive days out of country. Coverage only valid when training or competing under the supervision of a Canada Snowboard Coach and in a Sanctioned Activity.
