Anderson & Calvé, 2012 National PGS Champions!

(Nakiska, AB – April 7, 2012) The 2012 Canada~Snowboard Parallel Giant Slalom Championships took place in near perfect conditions over the last two days in Nakiska, AB. Caroline Calvé from Aylmer, QC, and Jasey-Jay Anderson from Mont-Tremblant, QC, were both winners this afternoon, showing more control and ease than the rest of the field. Anderson is a multiple Canadian Champion as well as the Olympic gold medalist at Vancouver 2010.

Michael Lambert from Toronto, ON, followed Anderson in the big final and Darren Gardner from Burlington, ON, won the small final to take third. In the women's event, Cassandra Wager from the USA came second followed by Ariane Lavigne from Lac-Supérieur, QC, in third.

Caroline Calvé et Jasey-Jay Anderson couronnés champions canadiens de PGS

(Nakiska, AB - 7 avril 2012) Les championnats canadiens de slalom géant parallèle se sont déroulés sous des conditions quasi parfaites à Nakiska, AB. Caroline Calvé d’Aylmer, QC, et Jasey-Jay Anderson du Mont-Tremblant, QC, sont ressortis victorieux démontrant plus de contrôle et d’aisance que le reste des compétiteurs. Anderson a remporté le titre de championnat canadien à plusieurs reprises et il a également remporté la médaille d’or aux Jeux olympiques de Vancouver en 2010.

Michael Lambert de Toronto, ON, a suivi Anderson en deuxième place durant la grande finale et Darren Gardner de Burlington, ON, a quant à lui gagné la petite finale pour grimpé sur le podium au troisième rang. Cassandra Wagar des États-Unis s’est classé deuxième suivit d’Ariane Lavigne de Lac-Supérieur, QC, en troisième.
