Performance Development Camps

Following the success of the Development Camps hosted at Blue Mountain and Canada Olympic Park last season, Canada Snowboard will be hosting Performance Development Camps, in all disciplines, across the country this winter. The Jr. All Stars Alpine Camp, at Mt Hood, commenced the camps schedule in August.

Our goal is to offer two Performance Camps per discipline, scheduled surrounding a nationally targeted event, or outside of the competition season. Camps are targeted initiatives to enhance the skillsets of Canadian snowboarders and to ensure they have a stronger opportunity to move up through our sports pathway. The camps are not intended to be a first contact program; they are designed to be a bridge to support athletes looking to enhance performance, and provide mentor opportunities for our coaches.

Two dates and locations have been confirmed and we are working to confirming three others in the upcoming weeks.

Athletes will be participating inon snow training complemented by off snow development and assessments. The camps will provide athletes and their coaches with a high-quality training environment in low-pressure situations. Athletes will benefit from an opportunity to ride in a progressive environment with their peers from across the country. Coaches will be able to share and learn from each other and engaged in mentor opportunities with sport science experts.
