• There is a lack of trained female snowboard coaches at all levels of snowboarding (grassroots to high performance);
• The training and certification program for coaches in Canada is currently dominated by both male participants and male learning facilitators; and
• There are currently no other women only snowboard coaching or instructing opportunities being provided.
