Club Head Coach
A Calgary based snowboard club is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Program Director / Head Coach for its programs.
Under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Program Director / Head Coach shall work directly with the FIS Boarder Cross team, and will work together with other coaches and staff in the planning and evaluation of all the programs including Big Mountain, Grass Roots and race programs.
The club subscribes to the LTADP and seeks to develop participants to their highest potential as riders, members of the community and athletes. We believe that snowboarding is fun.
The Program Director / Head Coach must have or obtain the following qualifications:
- Minimum Canadian Snowboard Coaching Program Comp Intro.
- Proven athletic and/or coaching experience at the elite level.
- Proven success with entry and development level programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of FIS competition rules and format.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Canadian national sport system.
- A valid and clean Class IV driving license or international equivalent.
- Proficiency with standard computer programs.
- Snowboard coaching certification and current coaching license.
The possession of the following qualifications will greatly enhance the performance of the Head Coach’s duties:
- Canadian Snowboard Coaching Program Comp Dev (Certified or Trained status) or international equivalent.
